Nova Scotia Day 3 - Boone, NC to Staunton, VA

No time for a detailed update tonight. After grabbing some dinner, doing laundry in the sink because there is no guest laundry here, making some needed adjustments to our route for Day 4 and Day 5 - I must sleep.

We rode 412 miles today in mostly good weather. We were out - from hotel in Boone, NC to hotel in Staunton, VA - for 12 hours and 5 minutes. That's long day. But it was a GREAT day. Suffice it to say the roads we traveled today were like adult roller coasters, characterized by challenging turns and frequent elevation changes. We ride them as fast as we dare, sometimes on wet pavement today. And we had the time of our lives!

There won't be many pictures from today because one can't very well manage a camera while white-knuckling the grips. I'll post a few later. And I'll post some video from the day when I get a chance to edit.

Here's what we rode today:

And here's an overview of the trip so far, as recorded by our SPOT Gen 3 satellite tracker:

That's it for now. MUST SLEEP!
